Mothers

"A permanent full time job is being a MOTHER ! You cannot resign and there is no part-time post. Mothers, a special person, who is there for her child through Sacrifices, Love and Pain, giving out unconditional Love, everlasting devotion. For all the wonderful Mothers...Happy Mothers' Day!"

It's really great to receives handmade mother's day cards from them...though you know their teachers helped them but you just like it !! Derrance gave the card to me on Friday, calling out to me : "Mommy mommy, little flowers for you." He is just so sweet !!

We had dinner at Beppu Menkan, a japanese noodle restaurant in Far East Square. We have chose to eat there because we know everywhere will be busy and packed with sons, daughters and mothers celebrating Mothers Day. True enough, it's rather quiet on Sunday nights, Derrick & I just love their spicy noodles. We will always order noodles with four portion of chillies, the waitress will remind us that it's going to be super duper Spicy, we know, it's just so shiok even if we have to sweat like nobody busy , face turns red and tongue numb, we are still eating it!
We went to Swensen at Bugis junction after the dinner cos 80% of their deserts in the menu list were out of stock??!!! How can?? Anyway, we enjoyed our ice-creams at Swensen, my maid kept telling me : "Madam, very nice leh" Of course lah...Shiok!!

Happy Birthday Derrance QiQi!

QiQi turned Three today ! We took off today so that we could celebrate his birthday in school with him. We surprised him by appearing in his school with cakes and party packs during his tea break. He was so surprise that he kept looking at us, wondering why we were there. When we took out the cakes, he was overjoyed! It was a Power Ranger cake !! All the kids just crowd around the cake, for a moment the class turned into a mini "zoo". The kids liked the cake so much that they kept coming back for second serving. These little boys and girls can really wallops when come to sweet and yummy food (The cake tastes delicious with plenty of creams and strawberry). I was thinking that 1.5Kg cake is kind of too big for his 15 little friends, to my horror they actually finished three quarter of it !!!

Derrick went back to office after that and we continued our celebration. I brought him to Swensen in Bishan Junction 8 after his school. He ordered a Omelette Overboard (Ham & Cheese omelette) from the kids menu and I ordered a birthday ice-cream for him. He sang birthday songs (in english & mandarin) to himself when the ice-cream was brought to him. He seemed to know he could get things from me on his birthday, he actually brought me to a candy stall and insisted that I buy him a 1M long balloon for him, after much "negotiation" he settled for a mini Elmo balloon. Phew....

We had another celebration with the family members at night. The cake was beautiful... A Ultraman Cake i ordered from Creative Cake. Everyone loved the cake as it was indeed very nicely made. ShuQing and Dinah came over after work and was quite shock to see how fast the entire process of cake cutting ended. The kids went crazy, they started digging and whipping the cakes before we could stop them. We just have to cut and sing birthday songs as fast as possible before the cake damage.

Happy Labour Day !

Derrius came back from school yesterday telling me that Labour Day is a Public holiday for people who had worked hard. He has worked 'real' hard so he does not need to go to school today. I told him I will be working cos I am a lazy pig. Haha

Derrance was having slight fever yesterday night. He complained stomach pain in the evening and we all thought that he was hungry. Kept feeding him with food. He will be turning 3 this coming May 18. Is it part of growing up process? The "pan tang" thinggy? I remembered Derrius had high fever on his 1st and 6th Birthdays and now's Derrance's turn? I hate it when they fall sick..it means another few sleepless nights for me again... I would need two alarm clocks, one set to ring every 4 hours to measure their temperature and give them medicine, the other to wake me up for work. Poor thing right? I just wouldn't want to take chance.

The so called "hardworking"boy. This pic was taken on his First day of school. A Gabrielite !
"Ah Pui" and "Ah Shan" fighting show. Look at the cheeky boy!
